Health Department VI confirmed the 73rd death from COVID-19 on Friday.
The victim is a 78-year-old woman in Sainte-Croix, according to a press release.
“The Department continues to work to slow the spread of COVID-19. Please continue to follow these precautionary measures: practice social distancing, wear a mask when in the company of other people outside of your household, clean frequently used areas, and wash your hands often with soap. and hot water, â€the press release said.
According to the Ministry of Health, “getting vaccinated against COVID-19 can prevent serious illness and death.”

The Sainte-Croix community vaccination center is located at the Nissan Center of La Grande Princesse, next to the Honda dealership and The Paint Shop, on the same side of the street as Food Town.
